For the month of January, we're partnering with Makers Gallery and Studio for our first partnership of 2016.

Makers Gallery & Studio is located on the third floor of 34 Elton St. in Neighborhood of the Arts. You may have seen them in Art House Press (we recommend you checking it out if you haven't) or heard about their recent live painting event with local artist Nate Hodge (his artwork is currently up in their gallery!). They also recently opened a cafe in their space serving coffee from Fuego Coffee Roasters, tea, and on Sunday's, delicious and unique homemade speciality donuts – made by the owners themselves!

Co-founders Edward Zachary Graham, Alexander Gruttadaro and Anni Gruttadaro established the studio as a place for artists to share their work, the community to learn and see artist's work, and for people to gather. You can also rent their space for events, but the gallery itself is open to the public 6 days a week.

Our goal with these partnerships is to encourage our community to visit new places and support local businesses in our community. Imagine if every single person that follows Explore Rochester visited a business over the course of our partnerships – first, there'd be a whole bunch of instagrams taken, but also, we'd have a significant economic impact on these businesses. We think that's pretty cool.

For the remainder of the month, visit Makers Gallery and Studio and show this post to get $1 OFF any coffee drink. They're open 8am-8pm Tuesday through Sunday.

Stop by this month to enjoy some great coffee while checking out Nate Hodge's Harvested Corners show and stay tuned for some more cool things to come from this partnership in the near future!
